Job Description

The role requires someone who is self-motivated and whose priority is to place the interests of the client always to the fore. Relationship building is critical as this is seen as a corner stone to growing business and the retention of business.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Seek out new business for the company by way of following up on authorised leads and through new and existing personal and professional contacts to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Working within an established team, you will be required to achieve KPI targets including conversion and new business levels while providing and maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Recommend and provide solutions to meet client’s needs, whilst ensuring adherence to all regulatory and compliance standards. Familiarising yourself with the Consumer Protection code and other relevant legislation by which the role is governed.
  • Cooperation and adherence to CRM system and compliant client file upkeep.
  • Manage ad hoc requests and general enquiries relating to your own personal contacts and any new leads.
  • Maintain compliant up‐to‐date records within an existing filing system.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative processes through feedback and cooperation with support staff.
  • Maintaining professional development and accreditation through tutorials and seminars.
  • Reporting to management and support staff and activities, sales, and meetings undertaken.
  • Experience working with a spectrum of clients with varying advice needs from basic to complex.
  • Manage workload to exceed customers’ expectations by producing work to the highest professional standard, representing the brand in the best way possible.
  • Have established networks and business development channels.
  • Collaborating with staff and management to ensure lead generation & referrals are maximised.
  • Be an effective team member of the Financial Planning team contributing to the development of the department business plan, while supporting each other in the achievement of KPIs.
  • To use your initiative to identify potential opportunities and make recommendations that can be pursued to drive sales and improve service levels.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • High level of credibility and experience operating as a Certified Financial Planner
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills with an ability to build strong effective working relationships with internal and external senior stakeholders.

  • Initiative and drive with strong planning & organising skills are critical together with the ability to prioritise, to manage a wide agenda and to anticipate the implications of actions.
  • Excellent technical knowledge.
  • Solutions focused with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities and an ability to identify and deal with an increasingly complex range of requirements.
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure

Requirements:

  • Ideally 4-5 years of experience as CFP qualified in the financial services industry.
  • Proficient with digital solutions in delivering advice proposition – Visualisation tools, DocuSign etc
  • Excellent people skills, good ability to multitask and meet deadlines & commercial targets.
  • Be comfortable developing new sources of business – Self generated opportunity.
  • Proficient in MS office packages; specifically, Excel and Word.
  • Highly motivated with an ability to take ownership and with strong attention to detail
